EDIT: Yes, I am actually well aware that the Jacob!wolf is supposed to have reddish-brown fur. When I drew the wolf in pencil, I didn't color it and just ended up doing the whole background in black and white... So I'm sorry. >_>
This is Jacob Black and Bella Swan from the Twilight series of books by Stephenie Meyer.
This song is one of the most haunting, beautiful songs I've heard in a LONG time. A gorgeous, and sad acoustic and PERFECT for Jacob... in fact I'm using it for all of my Jacob/Bella related pics...
"Vermilion, Pt. 2" by Slipknot,
She seemed dressed in all of me, Stretched across my shame. All the torment and the pain, Leaked through and covered me. I'd do anything to have her to myself, Just to have her for myself. Now I don't know what to do, I don't know what to do... when she makes me sad.
She is everything to me, The unrequited dream... A song that no one sings... The unattainable... She's a myth that I have to believe in, All I need to make it real is one more reason I don't know what to do, I don't know what to do... when she makes me sad.
But I won't let this build up inside of me I won't let this build up inside of me I won't let this build up inside of me I won't let this build up inside of me
She isn't real I can't make her real She isn't real I can't make her real...
SPOILERS!!!! . . Jacob is a Quiluete Indian werewolf, one of his tribes' protectors against vampires. He's not a traditional 'werewolf' like half-man/half-wolf, but can turn into an actual wolf only bigger (Bigger than a grizzly! ) He and Bella, a normal high school girl are best friends... the only problem is that Bella is in love with Edward Cullen, her soulmate vampire boyfriend (fiancee! )...
No Jacob bashing please!!!
Last thought... I've never drawn a wolf before... it came out rather well...
I love the way you drew Jacob and how he towers over her. You know, I'd actually be curious to see you draw Magnus Bane with that kind of coloring. That's sort of how I pictured him, with slightly darker or olive skin - I'm not sure why, but I thought one of the books said he had some Asian in him, maybe - but if you ignore Jacob's hair, Bella and the background, I could imagine Magnus having that kind of face. Maybe if you're ever bored and casting about for something to draw, you might experiment with it a bit. Wonderful work, as always.
Beautiful! And I think the black-and-white background idea was cool. It's like the werewolf is invisible, almost like a ghost, a secret that Jacob is trying to hide. Lovely picture!
Wonderful work, as always.
