Ok, what self respecting, late-90's highschool girl wasn't in love with Trent Lane? I know I was XD Here's Daria and Trent from the Daria TV show off of MTV. One of the greatest American cartoons ever made...
Daria is a cynical outcast, who, with her crazy family, move to Lawndale where things are just batshit insane. She meets Jane Lane a cynical artist and the two become best friends. Of course she then meets Trent , Jane's older musician brother and develops a crush...

I based this pic off of a fanfic called "Quiet Girl" by Sleepy Lotus : [link]

It's awesome, hands down. There's a song written for Daria later on in the fic (of course only in fanfic can Trent actually write good lyrics ~shudders at "Icebox Woman" ~ ) It's called "Ode to D.M. " and here's an excerpt :

So I’m alone tonight, with this photograph
It’s you, and that clever smile
Sharp edge of your wit could kill a man,
I’d die again and again,
Just to breathe you in
Fate told me you’d fly with the turn of the leaves
Heart screaming, I refuse to believe
This is the last stand of you and me...

So yeah, go read if you are familiar with Daria fandom. It's a great story!!

And here's the song to go with this pic. This one will forever remind me of highschool (and they say that Trent was based off of Jacob Dylan) "One Headlight" by The Wallflowers : [link]
No crit please ^^;

When I was in the first grade, I didn't care much about teen shows, except for Daria because I remember having a big crush on Trent. I remember seeing him for the first time and I kept watching the show when my family wasn't around so they wouldn't find out why a kid would want to watch a teen show. I remember wanting to marry him until I started 7th grade because he seriously needed to work on sticking to commitments.
