Spock and Uhura from the new Star Trek movie.

So I'm sitting there in the theater, thinking that this was one of the best movies I've seen in a LONG time, when my forgotten fangirl side reared it's ugly head.

Really though, the "Tell me what you need" scene between these two was so emotional. It really humanized Spock for me, and also made me fall into some shipper love like I haven't felt in a lonnnng time. That and Zachary Quinto was hot like whoa.

I've got about three more pieces planned. This simple piece was just the fastest I could churn out. Anyways, enjoy the first piece of real art I've put out since about September of last year. The pregnancy and the baby and now work again really saps my time!!!

The song for this piece is "All Mine" by Portishead. It's a jazzy down tempo sexy piece. I'd offer it for dl, but I really don't wanna get in trouble. :)

Done in india ink, Copics, and Corel Photopaint9

No crit please :)

I think it's cool how you're a mom now but you can still act like fangirl. :D
Of course, I really like the picture too.

If God had a refrigerator, your picture would be on it...

<3 <3 <3 Simply beautiful. I agree with you on the "Tell me what you need" scene. Though I'll admit that the first time I saw it i was unsure of the pairing. Now after seeing the movie three times I must say I have a fondness for it... Putting aside my envy of Uhura in that scene, because, as you sad Zachary Quinto is hot. xD Love and Favs for this piece

Why, Mr. Spock, you almost make me believe in miracles"

Haha thanks! I'll still be fangirling when I'm like 90. Tis a great thing. :D

“I see myself as a huge fiery comet, a shooting star. Everyone stops, points up and gasps "Oh look at that!". Then- whoosh, and I'm gone...and they'll never see anything like it ever again... and they won't be able to forget me- ever.”- Jim Morrison

Yeah, Zoe Saldana's a lucky biotch. Wonder how many takes they got to do of that scene? :D I'm glad you like the pic! This ones' pretty simple in terms of detail compared to my next two of them, but dammit I just had to get something out! :)

Beautiful work. The lighting and contrast is amazingly done. I'm so excited to see your work again! Hope you're taking the time to enjoy motherhood though. Your baby, kawaii!

That is just stunning. I love how you have drawn them both, it just looks absolutely fantastic. And I agree, that scene was a really good one. Both actors played it out perfectly.

Beautiful style, love the expressions and the space in the BG is just amazing. The movie also made me like the shipping, which I hadn't really considered before even though I've been a trekkie nearly all my life.

I don't have a problem with canon, non-canon, straight, gay or any other of that nonsense. I have a problem with incest but as long as it isn't real life & it is drawn well I will pretend that they're not related for the sake of a job well done. Love wins

love it and yeah the movie had the same effects on me ;)

Awh the Star Trek movie did indeed exceed my expectations. I love how they fit in jokes from the old series... When McCoy said "I'm a doctor not a physicist." everyone in the cinema heard a loud "YES!" from me :XD:

Great pic!
