I'd love to jump into showing/selling my work at conventions soon. The crisis with my back has been dodged for now :/. Unfortunately I've never shown at a convention before! I've been in museum shows and I sell my work at local beach shops, but an Artist's Alley is... Overwhelming to say the least.
ANY advice I can get is greatly appreciated!! My main concerns are about how many prints to get, overlooked but important details, and possibly ideas on booth constructs. I have a general idea of how I want to merchandise, but would love input!!
i hope I can get my ducks in a row in time for Pensacon in Feb!
Thank you to everyone who expressed sentiments for me and my back! I suffered 2 bulging discs last year and had a surgery last Halloween to relieve nerve pain. Unfortunately, that was only half the problem because now it's the vertebrae grinding and disintegrating on me. :/. 23 years of hardcore fast pitch softball will wear your body out!!! My neurosurgeons suggested a lumbar fusion surgery (metal screws and rods with a bone graft) but we all decided I'd try everything I could until surgery was the last option. So I'm getting a cortisone epidural in 2 weeks here's hoping!!!
I hope that I can return to drawing soon! It's been hard to sit in one spot for very long, and also to concentrate through the pain, that I honestly haven't had much desire to draw
Thank you everyone for your continued support!!
If if you get the chance... Share my artwork whenever and wherever you can? Shameless plugging is, well, shameless
Talk to y'all soon!!!
